Description : The somens are thin, white wheat Japanese noodles usually consumed in a cold soup in summer. This somens are made in a traditional and artisinal manner.
Use: We recommend trying the cold somens with mentsuyu sauce, hot vegetables or in miso soup.
Cooking instructions: Cook the noodles in a large volume of boiling water for 1 and a half to 2 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

Shimabara Tenobe Somen is a cooperative of Somen noodles manufacturers located in Shimabara, Nagasaki Prefecture. Somen are very thin Japanese noodles made from wheat flour with the peculiarity of being quick to cook. They are generally eaten cold in soup in summer.
The town of Shimabara is a region whose traditional production of Somen, renowned throughout Japan, dates back to the early 17th century.
The Shimabara Tenobe Somen cooperative is an association of brands established in 1978 by several producers in the region in order to protect and promote their traditional know-how based on handmade production.
