Description : Kijoshu is a sake made with sake instead of water and aged during 8 years. The aging process provides a nice amber color and a thicker texture. It is also a "junta", a sake where alcohol is only produced using fermentation. This sake obtained several medals, including the gold medal, at the IWC (International Wine Challenge) .

Enoki Shuzo sake house is established in the town of Kure since 1899. Kure is a small town near Hiroshima which overlooks the inner sea of Seto. Traditions have been handed down from father to son, and the president of Enoki Shuzo today is Mr. Toshihiro ENOKI (4th generation).
The name of the company is Enoki Shuzo, but sakes are better known under their trademark "Hanahato". Enoki Shuzo is known for its wide range of so-called "kijoshu" sakes.
Traditionally, to produce sake, water, rice and ferments are used. To produce kijoshu, sake is used instead of water.
