Description: This Sake is a «kijoshu», meaning that the rice grains ferment in Sake and not in water, making it more syrupy. The term «nigori» refers to a sake with a cloudy aspect and a milky texture because of the yeast and rice particles remaining inside the sake after fermentation.

Alcohol by volume: 14% 

Flavor: Kiyomori Heian Sake has a strong rice taste, a syrupy flavor, very rich in umami, with a long-finish.

Pairing: Drink it ideally as an aperitif or accompanying a dessert.

Enoki Shuzo sake house is established in the town of Kure since 1899. Kure is a small town near Hiroshima which overlooks the inner sea of Seto. Traditions have been handed down from father to son, and the president of Enoki Shuzo today is Mr. Toshihiro ENOKI (4th generation).
The name of the company is Enoki Shuzo, but sakes are better known under their trademark "Hanahato". Enoki Shuzo is known for its wide range of so-called "kijoshu" sakes.
Traditionally, to produce sake, water, rice and ferments are used. To produce kijoshu, sake is used instead of water.
