Sake Munemasa Junmai Ginjo 720ml (15% Vol.)

588

33,90 € tax incl.

Description : Junmai ginjo sake very well balanced. Grains of rice have been polished at 55%. It is produced with a mix of two different rice varieties: the well known sake rice yamadanishiki and an other one variety from Saga region. The Munemasa sake is perfect to discover Japanese sake.

Alcohol by volume : 15%

Appearance : This sake is transparent with a light straw color and nice tears.

Nose : The first nose is iodized with kelp, squid ink and sea salt aromas. The second nose confirms the first one with additional fruits and herbs aromas: angelica, fennel, melon and green fig. It’s a complex nose as several aromatic families are mixing together. Indeed, some camphor, honey and earthy notes are also there. It's unconventional !

Mouth : The mouth feel is sweet: the texture reminds a little bit of honey. It’s dense. We still have iodine, sea salt with umami flavors. There is a nice freshness that balances the powerful body of this sake. It has a nihonshudo of -15.

Finish : The finish is long and has roots and cooked rice flavors.

Pairing : Due to its aromas and sweetness, it is a very unique sake that must be balances with food pairing. It goes well with acidity, bitterness, spices, iodine, egg, umami and  dried/smoked products. It would be delicious as a pre-drink with fresh goat cheese with honey and fresh farmhouse bread, to accompany sea urchins and lemon, a carpaccio of sea bream or some lasagnas with parmesan.

Serving temperature : Chilled (5°-10°) or cold (10-12°)

Ingredients : Rice (32,5%), Koji (9,1%), Water (58,4%)

Preservation : Store in a cool, dark and dry place.

Origin : Japan

Container : Glass bottle

Très bon, fruité et légèrement doux. Se rapproche d’un type Kimoto.
