Sake Madonoume Junmai Ginjo 720ml (15°)

36,80 € tax incl.

Description : Sake junmai ginjo brewed from Saga "Sagano hana" rice. The rice grains have been polished at 55%, that gives this sake a subtle taste.

Alcohol by volume : 15°

Appearance : This junmai ginjo is clear like water with a silver reflection.

Nose : The first nose is milky with very warm aromas of rice pudding, milk chocolate and dulce de leche. The second nose is gourmet with some rice, custard cream, vanilla, and raisin notes.

Mouth : The tasting starts with a first impression in the mouth soft and vegetal. Acidity gives a lot of freshness to the tasting and stays in the mouth. We can taste dulce de leche, cookie and macadamia nut aromas. There is a nice umami.

Finish : The finish is fresh with soy sauce, liquorice and puffed rice notes. Texture is more present than flavor in the end.

Pairing : This sake is interesting and will go well with grilled and fat dishes like dried and smoked ham platter to start the meal, beef barbecue, tempuras (shrimp, veggies…), lamb barbecue ribs with barbecue sauce and fresh thyme but also caramel pudding or île flottante (slow baked meringue with custard cream and caramel topping). It would be delicious with acid, bitter, umami dishes or the ones with spices, iodine, eggs and dried/smoked ingredients.

Serving temperature : It can be enjoyed cold (10-12°) or at room temperature (17-20°).

Ingredients : Rice (32,6%), Koji (8,2%), Water (59,2%)

Preservation : Store in a cool, dark and dry place.

Origin : Japan

Container : Glass bottle
