This artisanal sauce is produced by shiitake mushroom producers in Kyushu. It is a subtle mix of soy sauce with the unique taste of shiitake mushrooms.
Flavor : Rich and deep shiitake avor with a slightly sweetened soy sauce.
Use : The shiitake soy sauce goes well with rice, noodles, it can be also used in sauces or with grilled sh.

Osk shiitake, as its name suggests, is a cooperative of farmers cultivating shiitake mushrooms in the department of Oita (Kyushu Island). This cooperative was founded in 1907, and its goal, as any cooperative, is to assist its members in the marketing of their products, namely shiitake or shiitake products from Oita. The cooperative has more than 4,000 members.
With 48% of domestic production, Oita is the number 1 in Japan regarding to shiitake production.
