Description : Umesky is the fusion of Umeshu (ume plum liqueur) and Whisky, created by the innovative and prestigious century-old brewery Wakatsuru Shuzo. It is made by infusing green plums in high-quality aged whisky. After a year, the plums release their intense and delicate fragrance, resulting in a liqueur with a refined taste, a rich plum aroma, and a smooth texture. Umesky is perfect for whisky beginners or umeshu enthusiasts. It has garnered attention from spirits aficionados both in Japan and abroad, recognized as an exciting initiative to spread traditional Japanese flavors worldwide.

Flavor : This umeshu combines the intensity of whisky with the sweetness of plum. On the nose, it reveals aromas of peat, apricot, tangerine, and a hint of umami. On the palate, its balanced acidity makes it refreshing. The whisky flavors emerge at the finish, with a lingering smoke and a complexity reminiscent of black tea.

Use : Umesky can be enjoyed in various ways: neat, on the rocks, with a twist of lemon, mixed with hot water, as a highball, or in a cocktail. It pairs perfectly with cheeses, almonds, or desserts like flans. Its versatility also allows it to complement a wide range of cuisines, whether Japanese, Chinese, or Western.
