Umeshu Plum Liqueur Hakuko Tsuyahada Black Label 500ml (10% Vol.)

357

51,50 € tax incl.

Description : In contrast to conventional umeshu or plum liqueurs, plums used in this umeshu are locally grown and they are soaked in Japanese sake (Junmai Ginjo) made from extremely soft water. This umeshu will be appreciated even by people who do not like sake. It contains fewer calories since it uses frcutose instead of sugar.

Alcohol by volume : 10%

Appearance : This umeshu color has orange nuances and milky reflections. It is cloudy with lees.

Nose : The first nose is floral with notes of cherry blossom, followed by orgeat. The nose is fresh with a little licorice and ume. With aeration, the second nose is more on cherry brandy, apricot kernel and bitter almond.

Mouth : The attack is tangy and peppery with Timut pepper and black pepper. The ume appears discreetly. We rather have cherry stone, bitter almond notes. The mid-palate is relatively dry with refreshing acidity. The umeshu is floral with also a discreet note of cinnamon and sandalwood. Surprisingly, it is a straightforward and fresh umeshu with a touch of sweetness.

Final : The final glazes the lips with residual sugar and puts in the shade the umami flavor.

Pairing : Ideal with ice for an aperitif, with starters like a terrine of foie gras and fig purée or with a dessert like a frangipane epiphany cake for example.

Serving temperature : Chilled (5°C)

Ingredients : Sake (ginjo) (61%), Ume (Japanese plum) (31%), Fructose (8%)

Preservation : Store in a cool, dry place, away from light, refrigerate after opening.

Origin : Japan
