Kameya Foods was founded in 1947 by Heichi Kameya and his wife Toshiaki in Shizuoka. Since it was founded, the company has been developing products made from wasabi fully in line with the philosophy of the company and its employees : “Food is the source of life”; Kameya foods is surrounded by a rich environment, ideal to grow a high quality wasabi. Kameya Foods farm is located at the foothills of mount Amagi in Izu peninsula, where rain showers are abundant. This rain turns into underground water before springing out abundantly at a stable temperature all year long, packed in oxygen and nutrients. While owning a significant amount of high technology machines, Kameya Foods still processes its wasabi manually, still in line with its philosophy, to ensure quality products. Throughout the years, the company has developed several products made with wasabi such as horseradish free wasabi paste so that everyone can enjoy the authentic savour of wasabi. The delicious taste of this ancestral japanese seasoning makes its way into your kitchen to spice your plates up through Umami Paris.
