Binchotan Charcoal

Binchotan is a type of charcoal made from ubamegashi oak. In Japan, it has long been used as firewood because it does not release carbon dioxide and does not cause poisoning. With a metallic colour and very dense texture, binchotan emits powerful infrared rays that cook food thoroughly without burning the outside. It is ideal for grilling and barbecuing and is also renowned for its purifying properties.
