The team

Our warehouses and offices are located in Fontenay-sous-Bois, near Paris. Our team works on preparing professional orders and managing the website, communications, and marketing, as well as purchasing and business development. Umami has around twenty employees, all united by a shared passion for gastronomy! Thanks to its customers, Umami continues to grow, and the team is expanding.

Sales Administration Assistant

🎯 Missions

Join the Sales Administration team, where you will play a key role in order and shipment tracking for demanding clients (high-end restaurants, gourmet shops, and passionate professionals). Your organizational skills and attention to detail will help maintain the quality and excellence of UMAMI's service.

Umami is looking for a Sales Administration Assistant to join our sales administration team, which currently consists of 2 people, with the following responsibilities:

  • Order entry and processing (B2B and e-commerce)
  • Planning and coordinating shipments with our carriers
  • Receiving and processing incoming calls (customers, carriers, partners)
  • Shipment tracking, delay management, claims and disputes
  • Logistics data entry at transport platforms (Dachser, Colissimo, Chronopost, UPS, etc.)
  • Editing, checking and archiving invoices, credit notes and export documents
  • Administrative declarations related to sales, including the DSA (Alcohol Release Declaration)
  • Sales administration data update: stock levels, product information, tracking of stock withdrawals
  • Preparation and printing of parcel labels
  • Participation in inventories (counting, updating, valuation as needed)
  • Cross-functional support for the sales administration team to absorb peak activity periods and ensure continuity of service
  • Opportunity to progress towards additional tasks: invoicing, checking carrier invoices, reimbursements, reconciliations, etc.

🧑‍💻 Desired profile: You hold a minimum of two years of post-secondary education, ideally with initial experience in sales administration, logistics, or business administration. Meticulous, organized, and possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you are proficient with computer tools and enjoy customer interaction. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required to communicate with our international clients.

💼 Contract : Permanent, 35 hours/week

💸 Compensation: Package between €25-30k depending on experience.
