Shochu

Shochu is a Japanese distilled alcoholic beverage. This alcohol can be distilled from rice, of barley, of buckwheat or even of sweet potato. Shochu is a brandy that contains on average 25% alcohol, which makes it less strong than vodka or whiskey but stronger than sake or wine. Some shochu may contain up to 45% alcohol.

This alcoholic drink with a slightly woody taste is also enjoyed accompanied by ice cubes that mixed with water, of soda, of fruit juice or even Oolong tea.
