Shiso

Shiso is a Japanese aromatic herb from the same family as mint, better known as Japanese basil and which has many medicinal virtues. If the green shiso has a flavor mixing basil, coriander and parsley, red shiso has an aromatic palette close to the cranberry, of hibiscus with cinnamon notes.

In Japanese cuisine, this herb is used in a variety of ways: as a condiment or garnish, mixed into furikake, in syrup, and much more.
