Description
This bottle is the result of a collaboration between the Mitsutake brewery and the manga Fist of the North Star . The bottles feature the likeness of the hero Kenshiro, whose famous line "You're already dead" is written in Japanese.
This shochu derives its aromatic intensity from the sweet potato variety used, "Kogane Sengan," grown in Kagoshima, which enhances the smoothness of the koji. While shochu is traditionally made with white koji, this shochu is fermented with black koji. Black koji is more potent and allows for the production of rich and complex spirits. The combination of the roundness of the black koji and the sweetness of the sweet potato results in a particularly smooth shochu.

Mitsutake Shuzo
Founded in 1688, the Mitsutake Shuzo brewery has perpetuated a simple and strong philosophy for more than three centuries: combine tradition and innovation. Based in Saga Prefecture, it favors exceptional local ingredients, such as Reiho and Yamadanishiki rice, as well as pure water gushing from Mount Tara. Attentive to changing tastes, Mitsutake Shuzo is constantly reinventing itself, creating sakes capable of seducing all palates while preserving traditional brewing methods. For more than fifteen years, it has also produces its own shōchū, made from ingredients grown on its land. Guided by its guiding principle —“Sakes make men”— each member of the brewery puts their know-how and passion into producing vintages that bring joy and conviviality to every sip.
