Umeshu is a Japanese liqueur made from ume plums that have been macerated in alcohol and sugar for at least three months, although it is more common to leave the plums to macerate for six months. This sweet and tangy liqueur is served chilled, mixed with various beverages such as soda, sparkling water, tea, or even hot.

Umeshu
