Description

This porcelain plate, in the "Yukishino" style, brings an elegant and refined touch to your table. The "Yukishino" (雪志野) style is a Japanese ceramic style that is part of the Shino pottery tradition, which appeared in the 16th century in the Mino region (Gifu Prefecture). Yukishino evokes a snowy white porcelain, characterized by a thick, white, slightly irregular glaze, reminiscent of snow or frost. This subtly textured white particularly enhances the colors of food.

The Yukishino style is also characterized by intentional small imperfections, a warm appearance despite the white, and often organic shapes. It embodies the wabi-sabi aesthetic, cherished in Japan, which invites us to see beauty in imperfection and simplicity.
