Description

A local specialty of Nagasaki, sesame tofu is said to have been brought by Buddhist monks in the 17th century along with vegetarian Zen cuisine. Although it is called tofu, white sesame tofu does not contain soy. It can therefore be stored at room temperature for up to a year. Produced in the city of Sasebo (Nagasaki), this sesame tofu has been made traditionally for 3 generations, using wild kuzu , brown sugar from Kikai Island , and sesame seeds roasted and ground into a paste by the producer.

This product is a ready-to-use kit containing white sesame tofu and a sachet of kinako, ideal for a quick and delicious dessert!

Flavor

Soft, roasted with a peanut flavor. Creamy texture, similar to pudding. Sprinkled with kinako, this tofu develops a milder, slightly sweet, and toasted flavor.

Conservation

Store at room temperature (do not refrigerate), away from light, heat, and moisture. After opening, cover with plastic wrap, refrigerate, and consume within 2 days.
