Description
This yuzushu is a pure local product from Toyama Prefecture, made from freshly squeezed yuzu juice grown in the Shogawa Valley (Tonami City) and pure spring water from the local Shogawa River. The Shogawa region is renowned as the land of yuzu and is the northernmost cultivation site in Japan. Local yuzu is distinguished by a thicker, more irregular skin, a more intense aroma, and a distinct acidity. The juice is cold-pressed to best preserve the natural aromas of the fruit. It is combined with sake brewed by the brewery itself, using groundwater from the local Shogawa River. The result is a liqueur that expresses all the aromatic vibrancy of Shogawa yuzu.
This product is cold-bottled to preserve the natural aromas of yuzu. No preservatives, colorings, or additives have been added.

Store in a cool place, away from sunlight. After opening, keep refrigerated.

Wakatsuru Shuzo
Wakatsuru Shuzo is a distillery founded in 1862, located in the Tonami City, in Toyama Prefecture, known for its pure waters and lush vegetation. For more than 170 years, it has perpetuated the tradition of brewing and distilling, while adapting to the developments of its time. After starting out in sake production, the distillery moved into whisky in 1952. In 2016, its Saburomaru distillery, entirely dedicated to the production of smoked whisky, has been revitalized under the leadership of the new generation. Heir to know-how passed down through several generations, it aspires to contribute to the influence of Japanese whisky on a global scale, creating a whisky “that exists nowhere else”.
