Founded at the beginning of the 20th century in Hiroshima, the Tanaka Foods company specializes in making furikake. At the beginning of the Taisho era, in the 1910s, it launched its first product: the furikake “Ryoko no Tomo accompany you on the trip”. Since then, the company has continued to develop and create various furikake such as furikake in the colors of Hello Kitty or even furikake in small sachets, a first in Japan. Awarded by the Ministry of Health and Labor for the cleanliness of its factories, Tanaka Foods attaches great importance to the health and well-being of its employees but also of its customers and ensures this by using healthy ingredients for the preparation of its furikake.
