Sansho Pepper Gin and Tonic

Gin Tonic au Poivre Sansho

Ingredients

  • 100 ml gin
  • 1 tsp dried sansho pepper
  • 240 ml well-chilled tonic water
  • 1 tsp yuzu juice
  • 2 lime slices
  • 2 shiso leaves (optional)
  • A few ice cubes

Preparation


1.Add the sansho to the gin and let it infuse overnight.


2.Fill a glass with ice cubes and let it chill thoroughly.


3.Pour the infused gin into the glass through a strainer. Gently add the chilled tonic water. Garnish with a lime slice, a shiso leaf, and a few pickled sansho berries.
