Kashiwazaki Seika
Located in Aomori Prefecture, at the northern tip of Honshu (Japan’s main island), the agricultural company Kashiwazaki Seika grows vegetables. It is a medium-sized business with 60 employees, founded in 1991 by Mr. Shinichi Kashiwazaki. Their vegetables are sold fresh or processed into other products. Their flagship products include garlic, black garlic, nagaimo (Japanese yam), and burdock root. Kashiwazaki Seika supplies us with high-quality black garlic, obtained by slowly fermenting garlic in a warm, humid environment.
