Wakuwaku Tezukuri
Located in the town of Kawakita, known for the rice that grows in its surroundings, the Wakuwaku Tezukuri agricultural farm was established more than 20 years ago with the objective of revitalizing rural areas. Indeed, despite its rich environment, the region is impacted by depopulation. The Wakuwaku Tezukuri farm encourages the cultivation, use, and consumption of local products. Ishikawa Prefecture, in which the city of Kawakita is located, is abundant in pure water and is known for the richness and purity of its soil. Thanks to these characteristics, rice, barley, and other grains grow abundantly in the region. Wakuwaku Tezukuri specializes in growing rice and barley, which will be used to brew craft beers that it produces. These beers are brewed from water from the Tedori River which draws its source from Mount Hakusan as well astwo varieties of barley and Koshihikari rice.Through its beers, Wakuwaku Tezukuri aims to use local agricultural products to enable everyone to benefit from the richness of rural areas.
