Nakao Shokuhin was founded in 1927, in Sakai, Osaka by the great grand-father of the current representative, Kikumatsu Nakao. Nakao Shokuhin’ founder grew up in a merchant family and it seems like he had always wished to open a business of his own. That is how Nakao Shokuhin was founded. The company hopes to spread konjac on the dining tables all over the world by making and selling konjac based products by combining tradition and creativity. Cultivated on Japanese soil for almost 1,200 years, konjac is a highly perishable food that was only eaten by the Japanese high society for a long time. Through its products, Nakao Shokuhin wishes to widespread the consumption of konjac not only in Japan but also all around the world. Therefore, the company uses traditional ways of production that require more time and effort than current industrial methods to preserve the original taste of konjac. Discover the authentic taste of this traditional food from Japan through Umami Paris.

Un peu déçue du goût.

Comment from Umami the 26/08/2021
