Since its creation in 1953 by the grandfather of the current president, Mina Takaoka, the Hakuza company specializes in manufacturing of metal and gold leaf in Ishikawa Prefecture. The company has diversified and now offers fashion accessories, cosmetics, and food products, all using gold leaf work. These quality products reflect artisanal know-how and a long Japanese tradition.
