Description
Kinako is a roasted soy flour with a naturally sweet, lightly roasted taste, reminiscent of peanuts. The flour we offer in our Japanese grocery store comes from seeds grown in the Tokachi region of Hokkaido, renowned for its agricultural excellence. Rich in plant-based protein and fiber, and gluten-free, this flour is as tasty as it is nutritious. It is traditionally used in Japanese desserts such as warabi mochi, but is also a great addition to yogurt, crushed ice, or cookies. Its melt-in-the-mouth texture and subtle flavor make it a great ingredient for adding a unique Japanese touch to your sweet creations.
Flavor
Sweet with notes of peanut, toasted hazelnut and buckwheat.
