Furikake

Furikake is a classic Japanese condiment, made mainly from dried seaweed, dried fish and sesame seeds. First appearing in the 20th century, the original version was made from ground fish bones and was used to season white rice while adding calcium. Today, furikake comes in many flavors and is used to spice up all kinds of dishes.
