Description
Furikake is a mixture of roasted, salted seaweed and sesame seeds, ground into a powder. It was invented during World War II to enhance Japanese sailors' rice bowls. Very popular in Japan, it comes in many different flavors. This organic furikake is produced by our sesame farmer with roasted sesame seeds in soy sauce, sea lettuce, and Japanese ume plum, which adds fruitiness and acidity. It is additive-free.
Flavor
Fruity, with a hint of acidity and a nice length in the mouth, as well as a balance between umami and iodine.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Close tightly after opening.
