In 1918, Masutarō Mimura officially founded the house, specializing in the trading of nori and seafood. After the Second World War, his son relaunched the business with the aim of promoting Hiroshima nori throughout Japan. True to this heritage, Mikuniya now selects shiny nori sheets with a melting texture and a delicately sweet flavor, worked using artisanal methods that respect the seasons and nature.
