Installed in Shizuoka, an emblematic region of Japanese tea at the foot of Mount Fuji, Yamasu Sugimoto Shōten is a family house that perpetuates for three generations demanding expertise, with the ambition of creating beautiful, playful and irresistible products. Thanks to an exceptional terroir — mild climate, mineral-rich soils, generous sunshine — the company produces a green tea with deep aromas, a faithful reflection of its native land. The subtle taste of their teas also comes from a rare mastery of slow roasting, made in their own workshop, and a total commitment to revealing the true nature of tea, without artifice or compromise. From a young age, the current tea master questioned the meaning of "good tea" and studied infusion in its smallest details. This degree of precision, far from being a constraint, is an everyday art. Without commercial pressure or overproduction, the house chooses the best leaves each year according to the season, and offers a frank, refined tea, with a strong character, which touches the heart as much as the palate.
