Description: This shochu was made from a collaboration between the Mitsutake brewery and the famous manga Fist of the North star. The bottles honor the hero Kenshiro and his well-known catchphrase "You are already dead" on the bottle. Just as the emblematic strength of this character, this shochu draws its aromatic strength from the variety of sweet potato used, the "Kogane Sengan", that unveils the mellowness of koji. Traditionally made with white koji, this shochu is fermented with black koji. Black koji has a stronger taste and produces rich and deep alcohols. The roundness of black koji combined with the sweetness of sweet potato results in a particularly gentle shochu.

The Mitsutake Shuzo brewery was founded in 1688 and has been maintaining the same philosophy since then : Tradition and Innovation. The brewery favors ingredients grown locally, in Saga, such as Reiho and Yamadanishiki rice and water from Tara Mount. Aware of how taste changes with time, Mitsutake Shuzo keeps on reinventing itself through tasteful and satisfying sake that will delight their customers and yet were brewed following a traditional method. More than 15 years ago, the brewery started producing its own shochu with homegrown ingredients. “Sake creates men”, such is the guiding principle that stimulates each member of the brewery to give their best to produce sake that will bring joy for each sip.
