Umeboshi, also known as salted plum, is a variety of Japanese plum related to the apricot. Umeboshi paste is a very popular and beloved condiment in Japan. This paste has an elegant and refined flavor and is low in salt (5%), made without preservatives, colorings, or preservatives.

Maruyama Foods
The company Maruyama Foods, located in Wakayama Prefecture, cultivates Japanese plums called Ume since 1955. The company is located in the village of Minabe, which is renowned in Japan for the quality of its Ume, and is the largest Ume production site in Japan in terms of quantity. Maruyama Foods supplies us with its traditional Umeboshi (salted plums), as well as umeboshi paste. The plums used for these creations are of the Nankobai (南高梅) variety, a category considered high-end and one of the best available.
