In Japan, drinking vinegars are very popular for their health benefits. Milder, they can be consumed with water as an alternative to syrups, which are often too sweet. Ume is a variety of Japanese plum related to the apricot. This flavorful plum vinegar is made from apple cider vinegar mixed with vinegar from Kishu Nanko ume plums, grown in Wakayama Prefecture, and honey.
Flavor
Ume vinegar has a very fruity and sweet flavor between apricot and apple with hints of vanilla.
Conservation
Store at room temperature and away from light. Keep refrigerated after opening.
