Description

This ponzu is made with 30% mikan juice from the same producer. This extremely sweet juice is combined with soy sauce, vinegar, and the juice of three other Japanese citrus fruits (yuzu, daidai, and ogonkan). The result is a harmonious and sweet ponzu, where the sweetness of the mikan balances the acidity of the other citrus fruits and the strength of the soy sauce.

Sweet and fresh with a good fruit taste.

The producer

Sowa Kajuen

Sowa Kajuen is the fruit of the association of 7 Mikan farmers. They have combined their expertise to develop their business and new mikan-based products. Sowa Kajuen is located in Arida, Wakayama region. For over 400 years, Arida has been the first mikan-producing city of the Japanese archipelago, thanks to its environment. In summer, rainfall is low and the region's soil retains the right amount of moisture to grow the famous Arida mikan. Sowa Kajuen combines the richness of its surrounding nature with technology to produce delicious mikan on nearly 8 hectares of fields, all of which they use to produce a wide variety of products.
