Description

This plum jam is produced on a farm in Hida-Takayama, Gifu Prefecture. The plums, originally green, turn a lovely yellow as they ripen. They give off a sweet peach aroma and have a delicious fruity flavor. They are combined with Tanegashima sugar.

Conservation

Store at room temperature. After opening, refrigerate and consume within 2 weeks.

Usage Plum jam can be eaten simply on toast, but it's also ideal for topping plain yogurt or vanilla ice cream. It's very lightly sweetened and can also be used in sweet dishes like tarts, with whipped cream, or in muffins.
