Description

This drink is an amazake, a traditional Japanese beverage made from fermenting rice with koji. It is naturally sweet and alcohol-free. The enzymes in koji transform the rice starch into natural sugar. Its unique feature is the use of Amekoji, a rice koji specially created by Akita Prefecture, which adds even more sweetness to this amazake. It also contains more than 16 different lactic acids. This drink is very rich in nutrients such as vitamin B, kojic acid, and dietary fiber. Amazake has beneficial effects on the skin, intestinal flora, and fatigue, and is very low in calories. Gluten and lactose-free, it is suitable for any diet.
