Usage It allows you to dilute the matcha well with water, by whisking vigorously and gently from top to bottom. Soak the chasen strands in warm water (70-80°C, never boiling) for 10 to 15 seconds. This softens the bamboo, makes it flexible, and prevents heat-induced cracking. It also helps remove loose bamboo particles.
