Description
Umeboshi, also known as salted plum, is a premium variety of Japanese plum, similar in flavor to apricot. Its salty taste is very popular and appreciated in Japan. It has remarkable medicinal qualities: it combats fatigue, stimulates digestion, and eliminates toxins. These Nanko plums from Wakayama Prefecture have been marinated in coarse salt using a traditional method and have not undergone any desalting or seasoning process. They are very salty (20% salt content).

Umeboshi has a very fruity and delicate flavor with a very pronounced salty taste.
