Description

Less well-known than yuzu kosho, red kabosu kosho seduces with its intensity and freshness. Made from kabosu peel (a citrus fruit cousin of yuzu), red chili pepper, and salt, it develops a subtle balance between bright acidity, piquant heat, and fruity aroma. 

Flavor

Nice balance between the green chili and the freshness of the Kabosu.

Conservation

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat. After opening, keep refrigerated.

Kabosu Honke

Created in 1998, the Kabosu Honke company is located in Beppu, in Oita Prefecture. This region is known for its very rich vegetation and is considered one of the most beautiful and preserved in all of Japan. This small, employee-oriented company is specialized in the production of citrus fruits and in particular Kabosu, a local specialty. The company excludes all additives or pesticides from its production process and emphasizes the quality of its products as well as the strong ties it maintains with producers and the local community.
