Koshihikari rice is a widely cultivated short-grain rice prized by the Japanese for its beautiful, bright "hikari" appearance . This "Masakado hikari mai" rice, grown in Ibaraki Province, takes its name from the famous shogun Taira no Masakado because it is produced on the lands of his historical birthplace.

Agri Yamazaki

"Create from the earth, create from the human," is the motto of Agri Yamazaki since its created in 1996. Concerned about the environment, our rice producer located in the city of Hokota, in the prefecture of Ibaraki, has set up a organic farming which has earned him several awards, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1999 and 2009. With the idea of giving back to the rice field what it has given him, Agri Yamazaki resows the bran of his rice after the harvest and thus benefits from a natural and organic fertilizer. At Agri Yamazaki, you can therefore find Japanese rice and brown rice.
