Usage These premium wakame seaweeds can be used for salads, sunomono, or soups. Soak the wakame in plenty of cold water for 3 to 5 minutes; they will double in size once rehydrated. Drain them well and season to your taste. Umami vinegar for sunomono seasoning pairs perfectly with these seaweeds.

The producer

Tokon

Founded in 1933 in Saitama, Tokon is a company that makes the most of one of the riches of the Japanese environment, the sea. Tokon specializes in the harvesting, processing and production of algae, including kombu and wakame. Kombu is known as a key ingredient in Japanese cuisine for its rich umami flavor, and Tokon has been selling it at Tokyo's famous Toyosu Fish Market, formerly located in Tsukiji, for many years. The company combines tradition and modernity in its production process to provide wakame and kombu products that are as healthy as they are delicious.
