Tokon
Founded in 1933 in Saitama, Tokon is a company that makes the most of one of Japan's richest natural resources: the sea. Tokon specialises in harvesting, processing and producing seaweed, including kombu and wakame. Kombu is known as a key ingredient in Japanese cuisine for its rich umami flavour, and Tokon has been selling it at the famous Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo, formerly located in Tsukiji, for many years. The company combines tradition and modernity in its production process to provide wakame and kombu products that are as healthy as they are delicious.
