Usage Arare are used to add texture. In Japan, they are used like breadcrumbs for tempura, or in ochazuke and miso soup. They will add crunch to your chicken and salmon batters, as well as your California rolls. You can sprinkle a little arare on your salads, broths, pasta, etc. On the sweet side, they will decorate your verrines, chocolate, fruit skewers, and cakes.
