Description
Furikake is a mixture of roasted, salted seaweed and sesame seeds, ground into a powder. It was invented during World War II to enhance Japanese sailors' rice bowls. Very popular in Japan, it comes in many different flavors. This furikake is produced by our sesame farmer with roasted sesame seeds in soy sauce, sea lettuce, and sansho berries to add its characteristic tangy freshness. It is additive-free.
Flavor
Fresh, lemony, with a nice length in the mouth and a balance between citrus and iodine from the seaweed.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Close tightly after opening.
