Description

Japanese Koshihikari rice is one of the most prized in Japan, and for good reason: its short, shiny, and slightly sticky grains offer a perfect texture and a subtly sweet taste. Carefully cultivated, Koshihikari rice reveals all its finesse once cooked, whether for making sushi, onigiri, donburi bowls, or even as an accompaniment to simpler dishes. It holds up perfectly to cooking while remaining fluffy, making it as pleasant on the palate as it is visually elegant on the plate. Its balance makes it a premium Japanese rice of choice for those who wish to rediscover the quality of Japanese tables at home. A wonderful way to rediscover the importance of rice in Japanese culinary art, serving taste and authenticity.

Agri Yamazaki

"Create from the earth, create from the human," is the motto of Agri Yamazaki since its created in 1996. Concerned about the environment, our rice producer located in the city of Hokota, in the prefecture of Ibaraki, has set up a organic farming which has earned him several awards, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1999 and 2009. With the idea of giving back to the rice field what it has given him, Agri Yamazaki resows the bran of his rice after the harvest and thus benefits from a natural and organic fertilizer.
