Minakuchi Shuzo
Minakuchi Shuzo Brewery was founded in 1895 in Matsuyama, in Ehime Prefecture and remains the only brewery in Matsuyama. For over a century, it has maintained close ties with the Dogo hot springs, and has always favored the use of ingredients from local agriculture for brewing its sakes, beers and other alcoholic beverages. Indeed, the Minakuchi Shuzo brewery is surrounded by a rich environment, where "Matsuyama Mii" and "Shizuku Hime" rice, perfect for brewing sake, grow in abundance and where the water is pure. Minakuchi Shuzo also contributes to the tourism development of the region not only thanks to its drinks, which are very popular after the hot springs or as souvenirs, but also thanks to its typical wooden building from the Taisho era and listed as a national heritage site. Awarded numerous times for its sakes, the Minakuchi Shuzo brewery is a real treasure both for the taste buds and for its historical heritage!
